There’s just something about March: with warmer weather, spring vacations, and tourists popping up faster than cherry blossoms– not to mention a college basketball game or two– these 31 days are their own mad, mad world. And now Bethesda Row, a shopping and dining destination in Maryland, is looking to add to the spring-fevered mix. Running from now until the end of the month, ten of the Row’s restaurants will be offering exclusive “Row-tini” cocktails at happy hour prices all day long, as part of the first-ever March Martini Madness event.

No, the owners of American Taproom, Lebanese Taverna, Mon Ami Gabi, Redwood, Vapiano, Café Deluxe, Raku, Mussel Bar, Jaleo, and Assaggi haven’t suddenly developed sunny dispositions to match the weather. In true March spirit, March Martini Madness is a competition. Customers can vote for their favorite Row-tini once a day on Facebook, and then enter to win a $500 dining certificate for up to ten friends at Bethesda Row’s website. But be forewarned; with a wide selection, ranging from Mon Ami Gabi’s locally loyal “Hoya Highball” to Cafe Deluxe’s cultural “French Martini,” choosing between the ten drinks might just add to the madness of the season.

The randomly selected winner of the grand prize will be announced on Facebook by April 5th– just in time for a celebratory, or consolatory, dinner in honor of the end of that other March competition.
