Every woman understands the difficulty of finding the perfect shoe. But Lacey Kirstein, a Vienna, Va., native, found the task to be a real challenge, thanks to her incredibly narrow feet. After enduring years of not-so-stylish footwear, Lacey started designing shoes for women like her. The collection is handcrafted in Italy and was recently expanded to include medium widths. The shoes can be found at D.C.’s Sassanova, and LaceyK recently debuted her line in InStyle magazine.
WHERE DID YOU FIND YOUR INSPIRATION FOR YOUR SHOES?
I admire the clean, tailored lines of Armani so my collections lean towards a more classic design.
YOUR COLLECTIONS ARE NAMED AFTER CITIES: PORTOFINO, BALI, PARIS. HOW MANY OF THESE HAVE YOU VISITED?
They are all either my favorites or on my “must visit” list.
WHERE IS YOUR FAVORITE VACATION SPOT?
It would probably be Portofino- it’s so charming.

Oprah Winfrey.
WHAT DO YOU DO IN YOUR FREE TIME?
I play USTA tennis, ski, yoga, golf, garden and enjoy time with friends. I volunteer with Alzheimer’s patients.
WHAT ARE THREE THINGS YOU CAN’T LIVE WITHOUT?
My Golden Retriever, a variety of music and I love to eat but I crave sushi.
