Fashion-conscious dance devotées flocked to Bloomingdale’s in Chevy Chase to celebrate Septime Webre’s 10th anniversary as artistic director of The Washington Ballet. Cocktails and hors d’oeuvres preceded the exclusive “Perfect 10” event, followed by a lively fashion show styled by Barbara McConaghy with the help of Mary Bird and featuring the corps de ballet and members of the company’s hard-working Women’s Committee. Bloomie’s donated ten percent of sales to the ballet, which put the successful evening en pointe.
