NWLC Annual Awards Dinner

by Public User Archive

The National Women’s Law Center will celebrate over 35 years of expanding the possibilities for women and their families at its Annual Awards Dinner on November 19th. The dinner will be a special evening with journalist Judy Woodruff, Senior Correspondent for The NewsHour with Jim Lehrer, leading a conversation with the Center’s honorees, Sheila Bair, Chairman of the FDIC, and Brooksley Born, former Chair of the CFTC and retired partner at Arnold & Porter.

Since 1972, the Center has fought for equality by taking on issues that cut to the core of women’s and girls’ lives in education, employment, family economic security, and health. The Center uses the law in all its forms: getting new laws on the books and enforced; litigating ground-breaking cases in state and federal courts all the way to the Supreme Court; and educating the public about ways to make the law and public policies work for women and their families.
