Sitar Arts Center will host its 10th Anniversary Celebration and Benefit at the Carnegie Institution on April 22nd in support of its multidisciplinary arts programs for children and youth from low-income households in Washington, DC. The Center brings its diverse community together to give underserved children and youth the opportunity to explore and study the visual and performing arts in an afterschool safe haven.
Event honorees will include: Founder Rhonda Buckley, Nancy Folger, Donald de Laski, Dr. Jaylee Mead, The Washington Ballet, The Corcoran Gallery of Art, The Meyer Foundation, The Morris & Gwendolyn Cafritz Foundation, DC Commission on the Arts and Humanities.
The host committee includes Diane and Norman Bernstein, Lynne and Joe Horning, Dorothy and Bill McSweeny, and Nancy and Steven Smith.
