Join us on May 1 for the screening of BABY DOLL at 4:15, with actress, Carroll Baker and film scholar Foster Hirsch in person
This film is incorporated in AFI Silver’s Elia Kazan: A Centennial Retrospective showcase screening April 24 through May 24.
The sexiest movie of 1956, this film created a vogue for erotic pajamas and made Carroll Baker one of the sex symbols of the decade.
Often considered the best screen transposition of Tennessee Williams’s plays (Kazan wrote the screenplay), it is also a continuing demonstration of Kazan’s ability to create movie myths.
