Lights… Camera… Glamour! These three words described the utterly fabulous evening that embarked at the brand new Buddha Bar D.C. on Thursday evening, where everyone who is anyone gathered for Washington Life Magazine’s Real Housewives of D.C. premiere after-party which we co-hosted with stars of the show Lynda Erkiletian, Stacie Turner, Cat Ommanney, Mary Amons and Paul Wharton. You can see photos of all the cast members HERE.
Upon arrival, after the premiere screening event at the Madison Hotel by production company Half Yard Productions, the housewives were interviewed by the press who congregated outside what has become one of Washington’s “it” restaurant and lounges. But soon they were inside shuttled past the line and into the special VIP section were 200 DC insiders gathered for an upbeat celebration. The tight door resulted in a line down Massachusets Avenue, allowing guest-list only patrons to enter with the beloved VIP blue wrist band. If you were lucky enough to make it past the velvet ropes, the VIP lounge featured an incredible DJ, pan-Asian cuisine, and a very attentive staff passing out cocktails and champagne – not to mention an A-list crowd of family and friends of all the hosts.
Laughter and glamour set the tone for the evening, allowing those of Washington’s high society to see and be seen. Buddha Bar was the perfect venue for the premiere; unbelievable music and a towering statue of a Buddha set the perfect backdrop for the event. As they Housewives mingled and danced the night away, it was hard to believe that show is up and running and that we now can watch as all the drama unfolds! We’ll be watching.
