JOIN FORTY + PROJECT – JANUARY 2011!
Jane Franklin Dance is looking for dancers for our next project for Forty +.
Forty + Thursday Project includes dance technique and creative process in preparation for a performance with JFD at INTERSECTIONS: A New America Arts Festival on March 6, 2011 at Atlas Performing Arts Center in Washington DC.
Forty + is a performing group of older adults committed to the joys of movement past the age of 40. Forty + dancers work collectively under the direction of Jane Franklin. The group conducts free workshops and performances at Arlington community centers and has performed for the United States Environmental Protection Agency “Diversity Day,” and in concert programs for Jane Franklin Dance. This is an opportunity to be a dancer in works that integrate creativity and aging.
Dancers learn and create roles in class/rehearsal sessions taking place on Thursdays, Jan 20 – Mar 3 from 12:00 noon to 1:30 pm at 3700 S Four Mile Run Drive, Arlington. These sessions are under the direction of Jane Franklin. We welcome anyone interested in the creative process, no matter experience or physical proficiency.
Enroll by phone at 703-933-1111 or at www.janefranklin.com.
