Alzheimer’s Association National Alzheimer’s Gala
The eighth annual Alzheimer’s Association National Alzheimer’s Gala will take place at the National Building Museum (440 G Street, NW), Wednesday, April 6, 2011 at 6:30 p.m.
The National Alzheimer’s Gala is one of the premier fundraising events in the nation’s capital.
Annually, many of the country’s most influential and respected political, business, philanthropic and social leaders come together to lead the fight against Alzheimer’s disease. Tony® and Emmy® Award winning actor David Hyde Pierce will return as host of the National Alzheimer’s Gala. The Alzheimer’s Association will present several honors to individuals and organizations who are devoted to moving this cause forward.
Honorees accepting awards include the editorial team of The Shriver Report: A Woman’s Nation Takes on Alzheimer’s, Roberta Hollander, Olivia Morgan and Karen Skelton (Sargent and Eunice Shriver Profiles in Dignity Award), Bruce Lamb, Ph.D. (Civic Award) and Michael W. Weiner, M.D. (Ronald and Nancy Reagan Research Award).
