Think you know your Chardonnay from your Pinot Grigio? Can you taste the difference between Champagne and a Napa sparkling wine? DC Oenophiles, Wine Riot is the event you’ve been waiting for. On October 21 and 22, Second Glass is bringing Wine Riot, non-traditional wine tasting, to DAR Constitution Hall. This will mark the first time Wine Riot has visited DC…but those of us with a yen for fermented grapes hope that it won’t be the last!

With over 250 selections to choose from, wine enthusiasts are sure to be in seventh heaven at the two day event. But even for newcomers to the world of wine, Wine Riot is a worthy addition to your weekend. With DJs spinning tracks, as well as plenty of cheese and chocolate to pair with your vino, guests who aren’t sticklers about whether Italy or France make better red wine will still have plenty of entertainment. Plus, during the event there will be 20 minute Crash Course Wine Seminars, to help those timid about their wine knowledge bone up before taking on the full variety of wines offered. Before you know it you’ll be scoffing that the ’86 is much more robust than the ’88!
