Monty Python’s Spamalot hops back into town for a rollicking one week engagement in March 2012.

It’s a long time ’till then but it’s worth it to plan a little bit in advance for this one-week-only engagement March 13 through 18 at the Warner Theatre of Monty Python’s Spamalot – the musical lovingly ripped off from the motion picture Monty Python and the Holy Grail.
Monty Python’s Spamalot, a cover of the book by Eric Idle, is from the creators Graham Chapman, John Cleese, Terry Gilliam, Eric Idle, Terry Jones, and Michael Palin, with music and lyrics by the Grammy Award-winning team of Mr. Idle and John Du Prez.
The show tells the legendary tale of King Arthur and the Knights of the Round Table, and their quest for the Holy Grail. We all know the story, but Monty Python’s Spamalot tells it with a chorus line of dancing divas and knights, flatulent Frenchmen, killer rabbits, and one legless knight
The musical is the winner of three 2005 Tony Awards including Best Musical and Best Director (Mike Nichols). Nichols is known as one of the great American directors of film, theater and television. He’s also won an Academy Award, eight Tony Awards as well as the Directors’ Guild of America Award for Lifetime Achievement and a DGA Award for the direction of the HBO adaptation of Angels in America.
Casey Nicholaw, who is responsible for the fierce choreography, followed up Monty Python’s Spamalot with another smash hit Broadway musical, The Drowsy Chaperone for which he earned numerous nominations as director and choreographer. He is currently represented on Broadway with The Book of Mormon, for which he received the Tony Award for Best Direction of a Musical, along with Trey Parker.
