December is a festive month, but it’s also incredibly expensive. After all the gifts, holiday cards and decorations have been bought, there’s not much left in the checking account. By the time January rolls around, everybody’s ready for a great deal.

That’s when Restaurant Week Metro DC steps up to the plate with its twice annual seven-day run. Lunch costs $20.12 per person, while dinner runs $35.12 per diner, though some restaurants are going above and beyond the normal three-course menu. Siroc, Vento and Mie N Yu are all offering a four-course option for the same price. Meanwhile, J&G Steakhouse tries to lure in diners with a complimentary order of black truffle fritters, Smith Commons has $5 pint specials and Graffiato is offering Prosecco on tap or its seasonal market punch for only $6 a glass.

No matter where you go though, it’s going to cost you a lot less than the iPad that you bought for your special someone.
