Michigan’s Greensky Bluegrass will headline day-long festival.
Kick off summer with a little taste of Detroit in the District! Michigan based leather goods manufacturer Shinola is hosting a free community party on Saturday, June 25 at the 14th Street flagship store. From 3 to 8pm, enjoy outdoor performances from Kalamazoo’s Greensky Bluegrass and D.C.’s Howard Gospel Choir, snack on seasonal treats including goodies from Dog Tag Bakery, and help fight hunger- the event will serve as the official launch of the brand’s collaboration with hunger relief charity, FEED.
FEED + Shinola’s limited run of 170 tote bags will benefit Forgotten Harvest in the Detroit metro area. The purchase of each $195 bag will provide 100 meals to children and families in need.
Pets are welcome at this family-friendly event, so take your dog out for the day (and maybe pick them up a new accessory while you’re at it)!
Shinola’s D.C. flagship is located at 1631 14th Street NW.
