The annual fundraising event takes place at Capital One Arena.
Lawmakers, congressional staff and lobbyists will hit the ice this Wednesday for the 11th annual Congressional Hockey Challenge. Charity and hockey collide at this friendly hockey game taking place on February 6 at 7 p.m. The challenge benefits the Fort Dupont Ice Hockey Club, USA Warriors Hockey and the Capital Beltway Warriors among other hockey-relates charities.
Over the last six years, the challenge has raised over $1 million dollars for the charities it benefits. “Thanks to its fantastic partners like the NHL and Monumental Sports & Entertainment, the Congressional Hockey Challenge is set to have its biggest year ever,” said co-founder and president Nick Lewis.
This year’s game will feature Matt Flynn, from the Executive Office of the President of the United States, and Rob MacGregor, from the Department of Agriculture, along with lobbyists from UPS, Coca-Cola and Jet Blue, to name a few. The 2019 hockey challenge will take place at the home of the 2018 Stanley Cup champions, Capital One Arena. Donate or buy $10 tickets here.
