Cuisine Contra presents an evening of environmentally conscious fine dining by chef Barton Seaver.

Apparently, Kermit was wrong. It is easy being green. It’s also very tasty if you attend Cuisine Contra’s second pop-up soiree, “Green is Delicious,” which will feature the environmentally conscious food of award winning chef Barton Seaver. The three-course dinner will be built around recipes taken from Seaver’s sustainable seafood focused cookbook, the cleverly titled For Cod And Country.
In between bites and sips, guests can take in green-themed art, while they’re entertained by a variety of musicians and performance artists.
In keeping with the environmentally friendly theme, a portion of the event’s proceeds go to DC Greenworks, a non-profit organization that provides green roofs for residences and businesses to help improve air quality and cool buildings.
The one-night-only shindig takes place on Tuesday, June 14 from 6-10 p.
m. Its location won’t be revealed until the day before, though Hughes let it slip that it’s a historic garden close to Dupont Circle.
Let the guessing games begin!
VIP tickets are $145, which includes an indoor cocktail reception with Seaver, a ‘green’ tour, personalization of For Cod and Country (the book costs an additional $30), special seating at dinner, open bar and a VIP gift bag.
