WASHINGTON, DC – June 15, 2010 – Silver Starr Art Studios LLC® (“SSAS”) will host its Ninth Annual Summer Exhibition, “From America With Love,” on July 16, 2010 at L’Eclat de Verre. Emceed by Sirius/XM radio host and acclaimed author Charles D. Ellison, SSAS will showcase the award-winning visual fine artist Fred Budin and highly sought-after musical artist Jay Hayden.

The exhibition will begin at 7 p.m. in conjunction with Georgetown Gallery Gaze. Complimentary hors d’oeuvres and beverages will be served. A $5 donation is suggested, a portion of which will benefit WVSA Arts Connection.

Atlanta-based artist Budin fuses common materials ranging from rope to Walkmans, to create unique painting surfaces. His colorful, unconventional acrylic compositions demonstrate his passion against injustice toward the forgotten and underprivileged. Budin’s artwork, awarded for its universal accessibility, graces museum and corporation walls nationwide. Budin will unveil his latest collection, Flag Series, reflecting various cultural identities within American and other flags.

Guests also will enjoy live music from Hayden, whose silky voice, smooth piano notes, and acoustic guitar riffs capture the essence of soulful R&B. Hayden has worked with many successful artists, producers, and companies such as Raheem Devaughn, Tank, Mya, Lil Romeo, Dwele, E!, NFL Sports, UPN 20, Sony Pictures, and Universal Pictures. His recent appearances include Sirius/XM, Fox News, WHUR 96.3, and WKYS 93.9, and the Verizon Center. Hayden will share songs from his 2010 debut CD, “Love Counseling,” which contains “mouth-watering and soul-stirring” melodies that receive favorable airplay worldwide.

“The interplay of these two talented artists’ flawless techniques is sure to spawn a shower of critical accolades and provide audiences with unforgettable sights and sounds as we benefit WVSA’s wonderful efforts,” shares Gabrielle Bailey, SSAS Senior PR Associate.
