A Night of Hope Gala

by Public User Archive

The 10th annual A Night of Hope Gala is a black-tie fundraising dinner to benefit the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation Capitol Chapter. More than 500 Washingtonians will gather at the National Building Museum for cocktails, a seated dinner, silent and live auctions and live entertainment from The Midnight Movers. A highlight of the event is the presentation of the Living & Giving Award to a person or company that has made a significant contribution to our mission to find a cure for type 1 diabetes. This year we honor Blackbird Technologies, Inc. for their outstanding dedication to JDRF. Additionally, JDRF will also present the Congressional Champion Award to Senator Jim Webb (D-VA) for his leadership in promoting type 1 diabetes research. Our 2009 event raised over $1.1 million for diabetes research and we hope to surpass that amount this year.
