Each year’s “Celebration” honors an extraordinary individual or organization whose vision and work truly define what civic spirit is all about – giving of ourselves to help our neighbors and entire communities. This year, we will present The Community Foundation’s 2010 Civic Spirit Award to J.W. Marriott, Jr. for his years of extraordinary philanthropic commitment to our community. In addition, we’ll honor this year’s Linowes Leadership Awards recipients — a group of “unsung heroes” who give of themselves to bring positive change to their communities.
