Before that next Washington Nationals game or Washington Spirit match at Audi Field, now there’s an option to grab a drink, window shop or get a facial (or maybe all of it). Silver Mirror Facial Bar has opened its second location in D.
C. in Navy Yard (1355 3rd Street SE).
Located in Southeast in one of Washington’s hottest neighborhoods, the area has been transformed over the last few years into a budding homebase as well as a leisure destination.
So it makes sense that demand would be there for the spa’s signature 30- and 50-minute facials as well as add-ons, such as dermaplaning, hydradermabrasion, decompression massages and chemical peels.
Silver Mirror’s 1,600-square-foot space features a streamlined, contemporary atmosphere designed by Heitler Houstoun Architects. When entering the bar between Water St. SE and Tingey St. SE, customers check in on iPads and are then shown aesthetician’s chairs separated by curtains. (The spa features seven semi-private facial stations.
) For getting in and out quickly, removing clothes for treaments isn’t necessary. And each treatment heaps a lot into a short amount of time, with several steps such as double exfoliation and oxygen and vitamin treatments.
Get glowy skin without the nonsense and fuss. And remember to book your appointment back in four weeks.
Silver Mirror Navy Yard is open daily, from 8 a.m.-9 p.m. Monday through Friday, 9 a.m.-7 p.m. Saturday, and 10 a.m.-6 p.m. Sunday. Look out for more expansion in the DMV from Silver Mirror with two locations opening next year at Penn Quarter and Arlington’s National Landing.
